The club got started in 1992 when Frank McAlinoen, manager of the Pinkertons Bar & Grill, bought a Harley and wanted someone to ride with him. He advertised in the local newspaper for like-minded people and the club was born. The Originals

After many happy times, Frank moved on to manage a new bar in London and we moved to a new home, but kept the Pinkertons name.

We are now based at Swindon Rugby Club in Greenbridge Road, where we meet on the second & fourth Friday of each month (from 8:30 pm) and have regular events & ride-outs in between.

We are a friendly bunch who like to party and have a good time. The club hosts our own party nights, with live rock music and organizes trips to other club events, rallies and biker meets.

New members are always welcome. We can be contacted by e-mail or just come along and see us at our next club meeting.

The Pinkerton National Detective Agency was a private U.S. security guard and detective agency established by Allan Pinkerton in 1850.

Pinkerton had become famous when he foiled a plot to assassinate president Abraham Lincoln, who later hired Pinkerton agents for his personal security during the Civil War.

Pinkerton agents were hired to track western outlaws Frank & Jesse James, the Reno Gang and Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid.

On the facade of their Chicago headquarters was the company slogan, "We Never Sleep". Above this was a huge, black and white eye.

The Pinkerton logo was the origin of the term “Private Eye”.
